One of the finest malt whisky bars in the Trossachs

Lovers of the great outdoors can tour castles and historic landmarks and attractions, or go biking and rambling. They can sample the Water of Life at Glenturret Distillery, land a bargain in Glasgow or Perth’s exclusive shops - or fish for sea trout and salmon in our challenging nearby rivers.

Lovers of the great indoors, on the other hand, can simply relax with a glass of something warming, linger over our irresistible cuisine and succumb to the relaxing atmosphere that brings our guests back to Poppies Hotel time and again

. The warm and welcoming Oak crafted Camerons bar  and our restaurant in particular is also well known in the local area for great food, great soothing music and great laughs. Friendly hassle free service, a real welcome, keeps you together and serves great drinks. Great too for a relaxing lunch-time beer or coffee

At Poppies, we have no connections or ties with any major pub chain and are totally independent – allowing us to be both comprehensive and inventive in our drinks selections for you.

You’ll also enjoy an extensive cellar of over 30 interesting  wines from around the world, and  a dozen lovely house wines are available by the glass too.All handed picked and never found in supermarkets!

Our range of Scotch malt whiskies is one of the finest in the area and features, in a list over  120 strong, local and regional favourites such as Edradour and Glengoyne – to some of the great names from the Highlands, Islands and Lowlands too – including Macallan, Laphroaig, Caol Ila, Talisker, Lagavulin, Highland Park and Glenlivet. And not just the ‘standards’ of these and other famous brands but the Directors’ Editions, de luxes, and cask strength and Rare bottles adorn the beautiful oak display

Embark on one of Susans specially selected whisky trails. Be warned!!!

Our team are always around to have a friendly word or impart a bit of local knowledge too.
