The Trossachs truly is a walkers paradise. There are many walks to choose from, ranging from light strolls to more strenuous climbs, all against a backdrop of breathtaking mountain scenery and spectacular waterfalls.
Visit Rob Roy MacGregor’s grave at Balquhidder Glen and continue on to enjoy superb views over Loch Voil. Walk from Callander to the Callander Crags where you’ll be rewarded with a panorama reaching as far as Stirling, the Ochils Hills and the Pentland Hills over Edinburgh. Other areas for keen walkers include sections of the famous West Highland Way from Crianlarich to Tyndrum and on to Bridge of Orchy. For gentler family walks, follow disused railway tracks between Callander and Strathyre, or the Glen Ogle Trail from Lochearnhead.
